I guess in a way I’m doing something similar. I don’t even open instagram right now because I don’t want to. 😁 I feel so much better when I’m away from there. Though I will admit I miss connecting with a handful of people (because that’s the only place we really connected). I love that I can still connect with you here now though!
I deleted Instagram and Facebook from my phone today. It's still on my iPad and of course through my computer, but I was realizing just how much I was opening it up for no reason other than something to do with my hands. This feels good! But I do hear you about the connections. I'm glad we can connect here, too!!
Thank you for putting this feeling into words, Sarah – I have been feeling the exact same way. I used to work in social media at a big company (and I still kind of dabble in it as a contractor), and it's made me realize how social media has really become more for brands and less for people. Scrolling social media, no matter the platform, has become a lot like flipping through a magazine: every other page is an advertisement. It's exhausting. I'm with you on embracing the laziness!
Yes, yes, yes!!! It is no longer about connection, it’s about selling. And it feels so frustrating. Like, I just want to go see my friend’s cute kids, and chat about Harry Styles’ shaved head. I don’t want to see 1000 ads and a bunch of people telling me what I’m doing wrong.
Love this! Lazy Happiness for the win!

Thank you my friend! ❤️
